An Infiniti with Godzilla's Heart!

Infiniti has dropped a huge bomb with the Q50 Eau Rouge Concept, and I mean that in the best way possible. The concept car was first unveiled during the Detroit Auto Show (okay, okay, it's now called the North American International Auto Show, but still...). There was a pretty big stir about the car back then, mostly because it was based on a Q50 but just about every body panel was completely different, making it look oh so much better. The real show-stopper was the candy-coated red paint job, which I showed excitedly to my wife like a little eight-year-old boy looking at a toy catalog. The car was beautiful and was a good design study, but that was about it.

I will admit to being a Volvo fan. I've owned a few of them, and in my opinion they are great cars. I could go on, but this post is really all about the glorious Concept Estate Volvo unveiled to the world yesterday.

Parking on the Wrong Side of the Gas Pump

It's okay to admit you've parked on the wrong side of the gas pump, especially if you're driving a rental car, or you just bought a new vehicle and the gas cap is located on the opposite side as the car before yours. There's no industry standard for where gas caps are located, although there are some loose regional practices for placement.

Zero Fatalities Super Bowl Commercial Controversy

I have to admit I didn't watch the Super Bowl this year. Maybe it was because neither of "my" teams made it all the way (although Bronco fans probably wish theirs hadn't). Maybe it was because I don't have live TV anymore (I usually don't have time to watch it). Whatever the reason, I missed out on some interesting commercials.

Volvo's XC Coupe Picks up Some Design Awards

Last year, Swedish automaker Volvo treated everyone to a beautifully-designed concept car that was simply called the Volvo Concept Coupe. The company revealed some teaser images anonymously online, without any of the Volvo badges showing, causing a huge stir as people guessed it was a concept from one of the highly revered brands in the industry. Of course everyone was shocked when they found out the breathtakingly beautiful car was a product of Volvo, a company known for its boxy and quite frankly ugly designs.

Paul Walker's Death was About Unsafe Speed

I've been genuinely waiting to pass any sort of judgement about the crash that claimed Paul Walker and his associate, a trained race car driver. With the recent report that the Porsche Carrera GT they were in was traveling over 100 mph before crashing, I think it's safe to say that unsafe speed was definitely a factor in the accident.

The Replacement for the Mitsubishi Evolution Has Leaked!

I mentioned before that Mitsubishi has been working on three new vehicles. One of those new rides is a replacement for the Evo, and I correctly guessed it would be a hybrid high-performance vehicle, thanks to confirmation from Mitsubishi itself.
