The 2013 Subaru BRZ is a rear-wheel-drive coupe that provides plenty of thrills for a budget price. Unlike other driver’s cars that have gained expensive luxury options that have also inflated their price tags, the BRZ provides an exhilarating driving experience for a much smaller monthly payment.

Subaru engineered the BRZ with a 2.0 liter four cylinder boxer engine that is seated as close to the ground as possible, providing a lower center of gravity and a better-handling car. Paired with a Torsen limited-slip differential, stability control (with five different levels of intervention the driver can select from) and four-wheel independent suspension, drivers are treated to a car that can carve up both city streets and twisty canyon roads without breaking a sweat.

The BRZ’s engine works with a six speed manual transmission, or a six-speed automatic transmission with racing-style paddle shifters. Output from the engine tops out at 200 horsepower at 7,000 RPM, providing drivers with the ability to merge with highway traffic crisply. Despite its sporty driving dynamics, the Subaru BRZ achieves an estimated 22 miles per gallon in city driving and 30 miles per gallon in highway driving, making it a fun car you can drive all the time without breaking the bank.

Inside, the BRZ offers comfortable seating for up to four occupants, with two in the front and two in the rear. Drivers can enjoy a leather-wrapped steering wheel, height-adjustable seat and a touchscreen interface to control not only the audio features, but also to access navigation prompts and monitor the car’s performance. The car’s electronics also provide hands-free text messaging and Bluetooth connectivity so drivers can talk on the phone using a compatible headset. Everyone inside the BRZ can enjoy its HD radio, MP3 player input jack and eight speaker audio system setup.

A Limited trim provides even more standard features. On the outside, the car gains foglamps, heated side mirrors, keyless entry and a rear spoiler. On the inside, the Limited trim adds leather interior with faux-suede accents, heated front seats and dual climate zones.
